Location
White Sands Apartments are located on the beautiful Karikari Peninsula, 35km east of Kaitaia and 1.5 hours drive from the Bay of Islands. From Kerikeri follow SH 10 north past Mangonui and Doubtless Bay. Turn right for the Karikari Peninsula then follow the road till you reach signs towards Rangiputa Beach (left). The White Sands Motel is on your left at the bottom of the hill when you reach the beach.
From Kaitaia head north towards Awanui and follow SH10 towards Mangonui and the Bay of Islands. Turn left for the Karikari Peninsula then follow the road till you reach signs towards Rangiputa Beach (left). The White Sands Motel is on your left at the bottom of the hill when you reach the beach.
Shops: Cold drinks and ice creams can be purchased during summer months in our on-site shop. The next shopping opportunity is in Whatuwhiwhi a 10 minute drive from our Motel. If you are in need for a big shop you can find a 4 Square in Coopers Beach (20min drive) and even bigger a Pak’n’Save in Kaitaia (30min drive).
